Summers 2007 and 2008 during training at Covenant Seminary
The Network’s internship program connected me to a community of pastors doing church planting and gave me a roadmap, leading from being a seminary student with a passion for church planting, to actually plant a church in Bellingham, WA. I also developed invaluable relationships with older pastors who would serve as mentors for years to come.
Any highlights from your experience?
I loved experiencing the dynamics of a brand-new church meeting in a school cafeteria, Redeemer Redmond in Redmond, Washington. And greatly benefited from my first opportunities to preach and get feedback at Green Lake Presbyterian Church, Seattle, Washington.
What are you doing now?
I am still the senior pastor of Christ Church Bellingham, a plant that started in 2009. And is now a particularized church.
