Intern: Summer 2017
Where were you in your process of ministry development?
I was between my third and fourth year of seminary at Covenant.
It helped me network with other leaders in the Northwest and get an idea of what ministering within the PCA in the Northwest would be like. With that, it gave opportunity to meet a handful of different pastors and church planters in the PNW and learn from them what church planting is like.
Any highlights from your experience?
One highlight was the backpacking trip. Aside from the beauty and the fun it was a great time to build fellowship with my fellow interns that Summer. I still have strong friendships with those guys. Another highlight was having other men speak into my life and give some good feedback that helped direct our steps to the place where are now, which is church planting in Central Washington.
What are you doing now?
We are just finishing up a 2-year church planting residency at Christ Church Bellingham, and launching our church plant in Yakima. It is safe to say that without the internship I would not be where I am right now.
